 How it Works
  1. We send your test kit which includes instructions, water vials, and a pre-paid addressed return envelope.
  2. You fill the samples and return the filled vials to our laboratory.
  3. The samples are analyzed by our scientists with over 80 years experience.
  4. Processing take about 15 business days while we complete a detailed report of our findings
  5. The report is emailed to you with our recommendations

It’s fast and simple!

  • The report shows you the detailed concentration of each contaminant in your sample, and interprets how each compares to USEPA and USDA recommendations. Our laboratory compares every contaminant to USEPA standards and automatically retests and corroborates every failed contaminant FREE.  The report is sent to you by email and/or a printed copy.  In addition we provide recommendations for solving identified problems.
  • You receive the results directly from our laboratory in the easy to read report plus the recommendations. If you continue to have questions our Water Science Experts are ready to assist you. It’s fast and simple!
  • Because this is an informational test that you are purchasing from us, you are the owner of the results.  Only you can disclose the results to a third party.

YOU RECEIVE ALL OF THIS IN OUR WATER TEST INCLUDING SHIPPING AND HANDLING— IT’S QUICK AND SIMPLE!
  • All laboratory supplies are included on all orders.  An $18 fee is added to cover shipping and handling at checkout.   Return Shipping is not included on orders outside the Continental US and Canada.

Has Fracking Contaminated Your Water?

Areas impacted by shale drilling continue to expand. This map shows the current and expect regions to have shale.  If you live in a shaded area you should consider having your water tested today.

If you believe that your ground water has been or could be effected by natural gas drilling, its highly recommended to have your water tested.

The Ohio EPA recommends that  you should test your water before any drilling occurs to establish a baseline.  They recommend two or three samples should be collected in different calendar seasons to allow you to establish the normal variability in ground water quality over time due to rainfall and other factors.

When assessing the overall health of your water well, you may want to consider analyzing for nitrate, arsenic and Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria as these are the most common contaminants of concern in ground water.

These contaminants are typically not associated with oil and gas production activities.  All of the following tests include these as part of our standard lab screening.

The Ohio EPA recommends all shale drilling tests include at least these parameters:

Barium
Benzene (BTEX)
Bromide
Calcium
Chloride
Conductivity
Ethylbenzene (BTEX)

Hardness
Iron
Magnesium
Manganese
Methane (dissolved)
pH
Potassium

Sodium
Strontium
Sulfate
Toluene (BTEX)
Total Alkalinity
Total dissolved solids
Total suspended solids
Xylene (BTEX)
Also Recommended:
Arsenic
Nitrate
Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria

In additional to these recommended parameters we have identified  a total list of 50 key contaminants that appear related to fracking drilling activities.

We offer three tests that cover the complete range of these recommended parameters plus additional our key fracking contaminants plus hundreds of additional contaminants to ensure your water is of the highest quality.  We test for 240 different contaminants so you can be assured that your water is safe to drink.
